We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering materials, and a strong commitment to delivering goods safely and efficiently. This role is vital in ensuring that our deliveries are made on time while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate lorries to transport goods to various locations as per delivery schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is safe and roadworthy.
• Secure cargo properly on flatbed vehicles to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Pay

£15.00 per hour

Shift

Monday to Friday - 07:30 - 17:00

Every other Saturday also

Requirements

• Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a maximum of 6 points.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with flatbed lorries.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
• Ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
• A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to problem-solving in high-pressure situations.
