The THOMAS Recruitment Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Welder, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to join an award-winning engineering and fabrication manufacturer based in West Bromwich (B71). You will join a well-established business that will continuously support your development throughout your employment.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure the correct PPE is worn by all within the area.
• Carry out Pipe , MIG welding and fabrication processes to customer specifications, and to the company's standards.
• Record and monitor Non-Conforming Material for disposal.
• Reporting equipment faults quickly in line with production procedures.
• Complete hourly targets to ensure cell production metrics are achieved and record on the relevant documentation.
• Follow standardised work instructions and procedures to achieve quality and throughput targets.
• Monitoring production processes and carrying out and recording basic testing and quality checks.
• Packing goods in line with procedures and company Packaging Instructions
• 5S – Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness in your areas and adherence to 5S controls.
• Any other duties or projects the Company decide that you are needed to support to meet the objectives of the business in the long or short term.

Your Shifts:

• Must be available for the Morning and Afternoon Shift
• 6 am - 2 pm /2 pm - 10 pm and 6 am - 12 pm/ 12 pm - 6 pm on Fridays
• Monday to Friday

Your Pay Rate:

• Up to £16.91 per hour, depending on experience and weld test.

• Previous welding/fabrication experience is essential.
• A welding certificate recognized by an awarding body is desirable.
• Must have previously welded to a coded standard.
• Strong can-do attitude.
• Required to have excellent communication skills.
• Be confident working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist with the business needs.
• Compliant with the company's health and safety regulations.
