Thomas Recruitment are looking for a Transport Coordinator/Administrator to start Immediately

A key member of the Depot team, you are responsible for coordinating and monitoring the depot's operational performance. Tasks will include supporting the safe, accurate and efficient receipt, handling, distribution and delivery of goods by all legal requirements and company operating standards.

Key Accountabilities
This role is on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, days and nights.
- Take responsibility for the effective allocation of tasks making the best use of company resources at your disposal; WMS, driver rota planning etc.
- Support the department’s labour efficiency, order fill, pick accuracy and sales loss performance by making best use of the WMS.
- Build and develop effective relationships with teams on and off-site, to ensure optimal cross functional working.
- Provide management cover for the FLM in their absence; demonstrating the ability and willingness to develop the skills and knowledge required to progress in their career.
The Right Person
- Previous experience in a Despatch/Transport role.
- Previous supervisory/management experience in a Despatch /Transport role -desirable
- PC literate, with good numeracy, analytical and literacy skills.
- Self-motivated with passion, enthusiasm, tenacity and resilience
- LGV licence and Driver CPC & or FLT licence – desirable
- National Road Transport CPC – desirable
