The THOMAS Recruitment Group is currently recruiting a Warehouse Operative for a leading engineering and fabrication manufacturer specializing in the global automotive, commercial vehicle, off-highway, and industrial sectors, based in West Bromwich (B71). You will be joining an established business with over 140 years of experience in the manufacturing industry that will continuously support your development. This is an ongoing temporary opportunity for the right candidates.

Your Shifts:

• Monday to Friday
• Day Shift
• 07:30 am - 04:30 pm
• 07:30 am - 12:30 pm on Friday

Your Pay Rate:

• £12.75 (Overtime rate after 39 hours £14.29)

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Perform warehouse tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Handle materials with care to prevent damage.
• Manage stock levels and conduct regular stock checks.
• Operate Winman ERP logistics systems for inventory tracking.
• Load and unload lorries safely and efficiently.
• Build pallets and containers for shipment.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to operate warehouse machinery (e.g. counterbalance forklift and PPT).
• Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required (max 15 kg).
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes.

Could this be you? The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience in a warehouse/logistics environment is essential.
• Counterbalance forklift and PPT experience is essential.
• A valid and accredited counterbalance forklift and PPT license is essential.
• A full UK Driving License is advantageous (no more than 3 points).
• Familiarity with stock management practices.
• Ability to operate ERP logistics systems for inventory control.
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to assist with the business needs.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required (max 15 kg).
• Adherence to health and safety policies.
