HGV 2 Refuse driver

HGV Driver - Driving and collecting wheelie bin waste from businesses across Plymouth in a range of vehicles from 7.5t through to 26t. Also collecting bulky waste items from households in Plymouth.

Duties
- Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods and materials to and from specified destinations
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of materials
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise

Experience
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Clean driving record with no accidents or violations
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo

Enhanced rate of pay for weekends, overtime and bank holidays. It is not essential to work extra.
