Now Hiring: Calibration Technician
Location: Yate, Gloucestershire

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:

As a Calibration Technician, you’ll be responsible for the calibration of a wide range of customer-owned equipment from new product sales to refurbished units and regular annual recalibrations. This includes using in-house calibration equipment, performing minor repairs and adjustments, and occasionally carrying out on-site calibrations at customer premises.

You will be working closely with the internal workshop and calibration teams, ensuring all work meets compliance standards and customer expectations. Strong mathematical skills, a methodical approach, and the ability to follow established procedures are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate a variety of instrumentation per customer requirements and internal protocols
  • Use testing and measurement tools accurately across different instrument ranges
  • Perform minor repairs, reassembly, and functional testing post-calibration
  • Assist with on-site calibrations as required
  • Collaborate with workshop and calibration teams to meet daily targets
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and communicate effectively with clients

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in calibration or testing (required)
  • Strong mathematical ability and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of various instrumentation and units of measurement
  • Capable of interpreting and following calibration procedures
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team under time constraints
