HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver

We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join our client's transport team. This is a steady, temp to perm position

Hours - 5pm-7pm start - finish

Days - Monday-Friday

Hourly rate - £19.05 per hour + £25 allowance for nights out

Responsibilities

• Various HGV driving duties, including long-distance and multi-day runs, with regular nights out in the vehicle.
• Complete daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy, safe, and compliant with all legal requirements.
• Sleep in the cab during the working week where required, following company vehicle security and standing procedures at all times.
• Manage the hand held terminals and be able to record accurate information.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the Transport Office.
• Report any delivery issues, collection, or vehicle issues in a timely manner to the Transport Office.
• Provide a professional driving service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Ensure health and safety standards are adhered at all times
• Able to work nights out during the week

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum 6 points
• Minimum 6 months experience
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours & WTD
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Previous tramping experience preferred but not essential.
