Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 2 Driver to join our logistics and transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating rear wheel trucks, these are waste vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to safety standards. Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 commercial vehicles such as rear wheel drive
• Waste lorry.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests and delivery receipts.
• Follow designated routes and schedules precisely while adapting to traffic conditions or unforeseen delays.
• Assist in yard management activities such as yard jockey duties or vehicle repositioning as needed.
• Operate specialized equipment when required.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation laws, safety standards, and company policies at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving roles, including shuttle driving, freight delivery, or bus driving.
• Familiarity with operating various commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, box trucks, flatbeds, dump trucks, and tanker trucks.
• Mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience with warehouse operations or yard management is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
• Knowledge of load & unload procedures using pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Prior experience in heavy equipment operation or heavy haul transportation is a plus.
• Valid Class 2 driver’s license with a clean driving record, no more than 6 points.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules and route adjustments while maintaining safety standards.
