Job Summary

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Class 2 Driver to join our client's growing team on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver looking for stable, long-term employment with regular weekday hours.

The role involves delivering goods alongside a dedicated driver's mate, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of customer service. The position is physically demanding, making it well suited to candidates who enjoy an active working environment.

Duties

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle safely and professionally.
• Complete deliveries to customers across the region.
• Work alongside a driver's mate to load and unload goods.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Secure loads correctly and comply with all road transport regulations.
• Maintain delivery paperwork and company records.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.
• Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding any delays or issues.

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience preferred.
• Good understanding of driver regulations and road safety.
• Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional in approach.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person delivery team.
