Thomas Recruitment is recruiting Class 2 Refuse Drivers/Loaders to join a well-established local authority team in Cardiff.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a role offering a fantastic 4-day working week, giving you every Saturday, Sunday and Monday off while still working full-time hours.

Whether you're an experienced HGV Driver or have recently passed your Class 2 test, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role

• Safely operate Class 2 refuse collection vehicles.
• Work alongside a team of loaders to complete domestic and commercial waste collections.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Follow planned collection routes and schedules.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to all health & safety and road traffic regulations.
• Provide a professional service while representing the client within the local community.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Previous refuse, recycling or multidrop experience is advantageous but not essential.

Newly qualified (new pass) Class 2 drivers are encouraged to apply.
