We are currently recruiting for a Drivers Mate to join a busy and friendly logistics team based in Carmarthen. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a physically active role, is customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

As a Drivers Mate, you will work alongside a professional driver to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of goods to customers. You will be responsible for assisting with loading and unloading deliveries, carrying products into customer premises where required, and providing excellent customer service throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting the driver with daily delivery routes.
• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently.
• Delivering products to residential and commercial customers.
• Manual handling and lifting of heavy items.
• Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Helping to keep the vehicle clean, organised, and secure.
• Following all health & safety procedures at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Drivers Mate, Warehouse Operative, Porter, or in a similar manual handling role is desirable but not essential.
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting throughout the day.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet delivery schedules.
