Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled REACH Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting shipping and receiving operations. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience to contribute to smooth logistical operations.

Duties

• Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
• Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, organising, and storing goods
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and proper storage of items
• Conduct basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain operational efficiency
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately
• Support the organisation of stock by maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Perform basic calculations related to weights and measurements for loading and inventory purposes
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety protocols

Requirements

• Proven experience operating reach forklifts in a warehouse setting; certification is preferred
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor repairs or troubleshoot equipment issues
• Experience with materials handling, load & unload operations, and shipping & receiving processes
• Basic math skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory management
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and stock organisation
• Prior warehouse experience is highly desirable; familiarity with warehouse safety standards is essential
