Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative (Rotating Days)

£30,000 per annum | Monday-Friday | Immediate Start

We are currently recruiting for a Timber Yard / Warehouse Operative to join a well-established and growing business. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role working with timber products in a busy warehouse and yard environment.

Shift Pattern

Rotating weekly shifts:

• Week 1: 5:00am - 2:00pm
• Week 2: 1:00pm - 10:00pm
• Monday to Friday

Salary & Benefits

The Role

• Picking and preparing timber orders from pick sheets
• Manual handling and movement of timber sheets
• Loading, unloading and transporting materials using forklifts
• Moving timber products manually onto forklifts when required
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
• Accurately reading and following picking instructions

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, manufacturing or similar environment
• Forklift experience is essential (Counterbalance and/or Reach)
• Expired or in-house forklift licences are accepted - an active licence is not required as full in-house training will be provided
• Physically fit and comfortable with regular manual handling
• Good basic Maths and English skills
• Ability to read and understand pick sheets accurately
• Stable work history with proven reliability
• Local candidates are preferred, although this is not essential
