We are seeking an innovative Head of Marketing to join our dynamic team and help elevate our brand within the recruitment industry. In this role, you will be integrated into the world of recruitment and play a massive part in representing our brand to clients and candidates.
This is an opportunity for someone who has marketing experience managing brand(s). At THOMAS Recruitment, our clients are our partner, this gives us the unique position to accurately portray their brands to attract the best talent that is suitable for their business.
As well as supporting the team where needed, it is also possible that you will need to communicate with our clients professionally to explain market trends, insights and opportunities for them to be successful.

The Role:
Leadership & Team Management
- Take full ownership of the creative strategy across all channels—develop compelling angles, hooks, scripts, formats, and iterations.
- Lead the marketing team by managing workloads, setting clear objectives, and driving professional growth through mentoring and training.
- Champion a collaborative culture, engaging the entire THOMAS team in content creation across TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Ensure all marketing campaigns align with brand values across THOMAS Recruitment Group, HOORAY Recruitment, THOMAS Professional, and THOMAS Freight.
Content Design & Strategy
- Act as the in-house expert on content design methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
- Continuously test and optimise creative formats to boost conversions, grow social media following, and enhance organic reach.
- Create clear, engaging creative briefs for internal teams and external content creators.
- Stay ahead of platform changes, algorithm updates, and market trends to keep content competitive.
- Analyse product, website, and customer data to identify insights and build high-performing campaigns.
- Lead the copywriting and creative direction for the HOORAY website launch.
- Oversee content creation sessions—both photography and videography—for all social platforms.
- Ensure all content supports business goals while meeting user needs and aligning with broader organisational strategies.
- Design pitch decks for potential clients, balancing independent creativity with collaborative content development.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Define and implement content patterns, styles, and standards to maintain consistency and quality across all outputs.
- Uphold high standards for readability, accessibility, tone of voice, and alignment with brand values.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through user research, feedback, A/B testing, and performance analysis.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage and lead the wider marketing team in delivering content-led projects, charity initiatives, recruitment events, PR, award submissions, training sessions, and more.
Travel
- Willingness to travel to other sites as needed to support the team, gather content, attend training, and collaborate across departments.
The Candidate:
- 3-5 Years’ Marketing experience
- Able to think strategically at a higher level
- Highly experienced with all social media channels (Including Tiktok)
- Previous knowledge of managing a CMS system
- Experience managing Google Analytics (GA4)
- Excellent digital content copywriting skills
- Experience and understanding of SEO
- Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
- Proficiency in using social media in a corporate environment
- Experience and skills include Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, PowerPoint
- Positive attitude with real energy and enthusiasm
- A big personality
