Job role: Machine Operative

Location: Monmouth

Hours:

One shifts is Monday-Thursday 6am-2pm and 6am-11am on a Friday

Another shift is 7am-5pm Monday to Thursday with Friday off

Salary: £12.71 - £14.28 per hour. This goes up in incraments by 6 weeks you should be on |£13.50 and 12 weeks at the latest £14.28. This can be much quicker.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting various machinery to ensure efficient production processes.

Duties

• Operate a range of manufacturing machinery
• Set up and adjust machines using hand tools and tooling to meet production specifications.
• Monitor machine performance during operation, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on equipment to minimise downtime.
• Handle materials safely, including loading, unloading, and organising components within the warehouse setting.
• Utilise programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine programming and control.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Document production data accurately for quality assurance purposes.

Requirements

• Proven experience in running Machines in a manufacturing setting
• Setting machines is highly desireable
• Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during setup and operation.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
