They are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for continuous improvement and a keen eye for quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a key role in improving production operations by:
Driving process and system improvements using lean manufacturing principles.
Designing manufacturing cells and workflows to reduce waste and improve productivity.
Supporting new product introduction through to production readiness (PPAP).
Managing KPIs and implementing preventative actions to optimise success.
Collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement production processes and layouts.
Support tooling and fixture design, and generate documentation such as SOPs and control plans.
Analyse workflow, resource planning, and drive layout optimisation.
Lead and support CI, root cause analysis, and problem-solving activities.
Oversee equipment installations, start-up/shut-down planning, and maintenance schedules.
Contribute to quality improvements and report on downtime and trends.
Keep up with industry best practices and technology trends.
About You
Engineering qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar manufacturing or production engineering role.
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing projects with minimal supervision.
