We are seeking skilled and reliable Mechanical Engineers to join our team based in Port Talbot. The Role of Mechanical Engineer is pivotal in ensuring the smooth running of the factory to meet production requirements.

What will you be doing?

• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance 
• Quick response and efficiently dealing with any breakdowns
• Fault diagnosis and efficient repair of equipment 
• Record keeping and reporting 
• Compliance with site and statutory Health & Safety requirements 

Skills & Knowledge

• Hands on approach to work and supporting the team and stakeholders 
• Self-motivated to complete tasks and ability to manage own workload 
• Excellent communication skills an able to liaise with multiple levels and stakeholders 
• A good eye and attention to detail 
• Excellent time keeping 
• Able to work as a team and unsupervised 
• Ability to use analytical skills 
• IT Skills
• Experience working in a BRC Certified Workplace would be desirable 
• Experience in FMCG (essential) 
• Experience responding to mechanical breakdowns within manufacturing industry (essential) 

Qualifications and Education

• HNC/HND Mechanical engineering (desirable) 
• 5 or more GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C which include English, Science and Mathematics (essential) 
• Time served Mechanical Apprentice (essential) 
• Pneumatic diagnostic (desirable) 
• Machining & welding 

Pay Rate:

• £45,000 per annum

Shifts:

• Days 
• 8am-4:30pm
