Job role: Metal Coil Machine Operator

Hours: Days regular

Salary: £12.21 - £13.35 per hour depending on experience

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Metal Coil Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and mechanical processes, with the ability to operate various machinery effectively. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate coil slitting, cutting, or forming machines
• Load and unload coils using overhead cranes or forklifts
• Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the run
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines
• Follow safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times
• Accurately complete production and quality control paperwork
• Work closely with the production team to meet daily targets

Experience

• Previous experience operating metal coil machines (slitters, levelers, etc.) ESSENTIAL
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements DESIREABLE
• Comfortable using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)
• Physically fit
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Forklift or crane experience a plus (training can be provided)
