Production Operative – Permanent
Location: Port Talbot
Salary: £12.21 per hour + 30% shift allowance
Shifts: 3-shift rotation (Days, Afternoons, Nights) 0600-1400/1400-2200/2200-0600
Holidays: 24 days + Bank Holidays
Additional: Factory shutdown periods (annual leave will be used during this time) 2 weeks summer, 2 weeks Christmas, 1 week over Easter.

We’re recruiting on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer in the FMCG sector, for an experienced Production Operative to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

About the Role

You’ll be working as part of a busy production team, operating machinery and ensuring high standards are met at every stage of the manufacturing process. This role will suit someone who takes pride in accuracy, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys working with intricate detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment to ensure consistent output quality
• Carry out quality checks with precision and attention to detail
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and health & safety guidelines
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across all three shifts
• Record and report production data accurately
• Assist with maintenance and troubleshooting where required

Skills & Experience

• Essential:
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Preferred:
• FMCG manufacturing experience
• Tin plate printing or flat print to cylinder printing knowledge
• Previous experience in high-precision production roles
