Job role: Receptionist

Location: Newport

Hours: 8am-6pm/8am-5pm Monday - Friday (Flexible to work Saturdays) We would consider splitting this role into 2 part time roles but you would need to be flexible to work 3 days a week covering those 6 days

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your office experience and organisational skills in a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing front desk operations, handling correspondence, and supporting various administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and clients in a courteous and professional manner
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and efficiently, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate meetings using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using programmes such as QuickBooks and other relevant software
  • Handle correspondence via email, phone, and postal mail
  • Maintain organised filing systems both physically and electronically
  • Assist with administrative tasks including photocopying, scanning, and organising documents
  • Support team members with general clerical duties as required
  • Ensure the reception area remains tidy, welcoming, and professional at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven office experience or administrative background
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Comoftable in a fast pace environment
  • Comfortable with dealing with people face to face
  • Demonstrated phone etiquette and customer service abilities
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
