Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join a well-established client within the leisure and hospitality sector in the local area. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone with previous retail experience who has a genuine interest in golf and enjoys working in a customer-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a warm and professional front-of-house service to members and visitors
• Understanding the game of golf and confidently assisting with tee time bookings
• Processing bookings for golf, events, and functions both in person and over the phone
• Handling retail sales, including golf merchandise and accessories
• Managing and processing gym memberships accurately
• Answering incoming calls and dealing with customer enquiries
• Using booking and point-of-sale systems efficiently
• Maintaining a tidy, well-presented retail and reception area
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the club

Skills

• Good knowledge and understanding of golf is essential
• Previous retail experience (1–2 years preferred)
• Confident with customer service, bookings, and cash handling
• Comfortable answering phones and dealing with enquiries professionally
• Knowledge or experience of gym memberships is advantageous
• Must hold a full UK driving licence
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends
• Reliable, well-presented, and customer-focused

Hours and Pay

• Full-time role
• Flexible shifts - you will be working evenings and weekends
• Pay: £12.71 per hour
