Hours 7:30- 4:30pm Monday -Friday

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Side Loader Driver (FLT) to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will operate specialised forklift equipment to handle materials efficiently within our warehouse environment. This role requires a proactive individual with experience in warehouse operations, capable of managing loading and unloading tasks while maintaining safety and accuracy. The position offers an excellent opportunity for those with a background in warehouse management systems and mechanical knowledge to contribute to smooth supply chain processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate side loader forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and yard.
• Manage materials handling tasks, ensuring accurate stacking and storage of goods.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements using warehouse management systems.
• Support warehouse organisation by ensuring work areas are clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and meet operational deadlines.

Skills

• Proven experience operating forklift trucks, specifically side loaders (FLT).
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems for inventory control and documentation.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Strong understanding of materials handling procedures, including load & unload operations.
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes within a warehouse setting.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to perform basic maths for inventory counts and measurements.
• Physical fitness for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or moving around the warehouse environment.
• Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is highly desirable. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and prioritise safety while maintaining high standards of efficiency in materials handling operations.
