Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and creative Operator Trainee to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals eager to learn and develop their skills in digital design and production. The Operator Trainee will assist in various projects, gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard software and tools while contributing to the overall success of our creative initiatives. The role of Trainee Mac Operator has been newly created to support business growth and succession planning.

Pay: £35,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check artwork using design software (Adobe Suite, ArtPro, etc.)
• Communicate with customers to gain artwork approvals
• Create and manage print plates and detailed print instructions
• Handle artwork uploads/downloads via FTP and customer systems
• Organize and maintain digital artwork and proof samples
• Support new product trials and pre-launch meetings
• Order materials and support innovation in plate technology

Qualifications

• Full training will be given to the successful candidate to become a competent MAC Operator
• GCSE (or equivalent) grades A-C in Mathematics and English Language
• Ability to differentiate between colours (essential)
• Excellent communication skills
• Great IT skills
• Experience if lithography or origination (desirable)
• Driven with good eye for detail
