Job role: TraineeProject Manager/Account Manager

Location: Caldicot

Salary: £25-£30k a year - but once fully trained can earn up to £42k a year

Hours: 8am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7am-3:30pm on a Friday

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic TraineeProject Manager/Account Manager to join our team. This role will be working in the Manufacturing environment. You will be tasked with managing projects from start to finish, liasing with the design team and the manufacturing team. You will also be responsible for quote and managing customer accounts. Bringing in new businss is always encouraged.

Responsibilities

• To prepare cost estimates and quotes in response to customer enquiries
• To review contract terms to ensure the company can comply
• To manage the design, manufacture, delivery, and where appropriate installation process, to ensure completion of the project in line with customer expectations
• To provide advice and guidance to production staff where appropriate and act as a conduit between customer and production to ensure the free-flow of information necessary to clarify and or correct and misunderstanding in desigh and/or specification.
• To ensure materials and services, including any sub-contract services and equipment hire, are procured on a just-in-time basis to both ensure the project is completed on time and any adverse impact on the company.
• To ensure timely submission of invoices and payment.
• To report the final outcomes of the project including via a formal project debrief
• To indentify and implement improvements in the performance of your duties with a view to improving the efficient operation of your department/ function and/ or the business as a whole
• Other such duties which will facliltate the objectives and activities set out above

Required Experience

• A degree of some kind is highly desireable (prefereably in engineering, design, project management)
• Understanding of drawings is desireable
• Interest in technical work is desireable
• Must be able to drive
• Happy to visit clients
