Warehouse Operative (Permanent)

Location: Weston-super-Mare
Salary: £28,080 per annum (rising to £29,120 in May)

Hours:
07:30 – 16:15 Monday to Thursday
07:30 – 16:00 Friday
(Every other Friday off – 9-day fortnight)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established automotive supplier based in Weston-super-Mare. Due to continued growth and increasing production demands, our client is expanding their warehouse and logistics function.

This is a permanent opportunity to join a structured and organised warehouse operation within a busy manufacturing environment.

Working Pattern:

• Full-time, permanent position
• Alternating 41 / 33 hour weeks
• 5 days one week, 4 days the next
• Every other Friday off (9-day fortnight)

Pay & Benefits:

• Salary £28,080 per annum, increasing to £29,120 in May
• Overtime paid at enhanced rates
• 30 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays)

• 9-day fortnight (3-day weekend every other week)

The Role:

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in supporting production by ensuring materials, components, and finished goods move efficiently throughout the site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Goods in and goods out operations
• Booking deliveries in and preparing outbound shipments
• Picking and packing components and finished products
• Parts replenishment to production lines
• Stock handling and internal movements within the warehouse
• Maintaining accurate inventory and housekeeping standards
• Supporting production teams to ensure continuity of supply

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment and may involve manual handling.

Skills & Experience

Previous warehouse experience is essential, the following would be desirable:

• Warehouse or logistics experience
• Picking and packing experience
• Goods in / goods out background
• Experience working in a manufacturing or automotive environment
• In-date FLT Counterbalance licence (ITSARR or RTITB preferred)

Location Requirement:
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Weston-super-Mare (BS24 area).
