Thomas Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Picker & Packer to join a well-established clothing distribution company based in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing afternoon work within a clean, organised warehouse environment.

Pay Rate

• £12.71 per hour
• Weekly pay

Working Hours

• Initial Training: 5 days, Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 8:00pm
• Following Successful Training: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 8:00pm

During the training period, you will learn all aspects of the role, receive full support, and be assessed on your understanding of the job and ability to meet the required standards.

Duties

• Picking customer orders accurately using picking lists
• Packing clothing products ready for dispatch
• Checking products for quality and accuracy
• Labelling and preparing orders for shipment
• Maintaining a clean and organised working area
• Working towards daily productivity and accuracy targets
• Following all warehouse health & safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous warehouse experience is essential
• Previous picking and packing experience
• Good understanding of basic Maths and English
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Excellent attention to detail
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently

Cleanroom Requirements

This role is based within a cleanroom environment, meaning strict hygiene standards must be followed. Workers must not wear:

• Jewellery
• Deodorant, perfumes or aftershaves
• Makeup
• False nails or nail polish
• False eyelashes
• Any other items that could compromise the cleanroom environment
